Trips to Taiwan

After my US adventures, here comes another adventures that I have expereince, this time in one of the Asian country which is Taiwan. To date, I have been in Taiwan for three times now. My first travel to Taiwan, I have been to Taipei 101, CHiang Kai Shek and Tamshui where you can find the so called "Lovers Bridge", with my elementary friends who are working now in Taiwan hahaha.... My 2nd travel was quite boring, I never got the chance to visit any place that time... Wala kasing kasama eh... However my third time there, I have got the chance to join Chipmos guys on their trip to Janfusun Fancy World. There I have experience to ride a roller coaste, floorless p un ha... It really worth it that I have given it a try... It was experience I will treasure for the rest of my life.
Just want to share some pixs and at the same time, I will just say thank you for the Chipmos guys and gals for allowing me to join their gimik... Xie Xie... and See You Next Year!

White Christmas Experience_2006

I have got the chance to experience "White Christmas", although there was no snow in California, still I am spending Christmas in US..hahahaha... Ate Josie and her family adopted me so I can celebrate yuletide season with them... This family really rocks, sobrang bait hehehe.. Si Ate Josie, lagi akong kasma sa shopping, and thanks Ate for the treat in Cheesecake Factory... sarap ng calamares, the best calamares n ntikman ko hahahha... and take note appetizer lang un ha.... bigatin talaga si Ate.... dami kong gift n nreceive from her eh.. Everyday is Christmas if you are with her, she will take good care of you just like a mother or sister will do.....
Honestly, I just want to say that I still love the way the Filipinos celebrate Christmas....there is something in Filipinos that was making each holidays truly worth celebrating.....
I just want to qoute one thing here, " Year 2006 had been a year of blessings, and God was great to remind me that in every loss there will be a corresponding gain..." And now we are approaching the end of current year, let's all give thanks and praise that we are given an opportunity to leave and to experience the blessings He continually dispenses to us.....

My Despedida Party in North Park, SJ

December 23, 2006, marked the day of my despedida party given to me by my San Jose family. My flight back to Phils was December 29, but since it will be holiday season, I have decided to make it on the last working day for December. Among those who were present: Kuya Eric, Ate Kris, Erica, Kuya Tonio, Ate Arlene, Ate Jo, Kuya Joseph, JL, Ate Maricel, Charles, and Kuya Froilan's family. Daming kids, sobrang saya.. JL's dance in the tune of Bulaklak, some kids got the chance to sing their favorite nursery rhymes... The food was good also, courtesy of Ate Kris, Ate Arlene and Ate Jo... Bait talaga ng mga ate ko.... Magaganda pa.... Thanks po sa food and for taking care of me when I was still there in SJ. I will never forget the hospitality you've shown me...
Thank You very much again and Hope to See You all Again!

Crossing Golden Gate, San Francisco

After our trip in Yosemite, Kuya Peegee was very kind enough to offer us a drive to San Francisco, actually, we first attended the mass and he drop us(Ria, Tere and Me) in Great Mall since he still need to meet Sai. Tagal nya bumalik, naharang kasi ni Sai eh.. nway, natuloy nman ung lakad namin... It was so cold in San Francisco that time, foggy nga eh, so I was able to take a clear picture of the Golden gate and Alcatraz.. But it ok, I have got the chance to cross the bridge anyway, just for $10.. After that, we ate the ever famous and delicious "Clamchow powder", not sure if i have spelled it right,hahaha... Then we went to Fisherman's wharf and boughts some stuff for the pasubong... Yun lang, then we went home with a smile in our face 'coz a dream to See Golden Gate Bridge had come in Reality...

Group Adventure at Yosemite Valley

My first adventure in US was to visit Yosemite Valley.... It just so happen that Kuya Pegee adn Sir Boyet were also there for the Pareto Ops..Hay.. ang saya ng byahe n un talaga... A day before, we ate at Hometown Buffet and plan for our trip.. Sarap ng pagkain kaso kanya kanyang bayad... hehehe... nway, after the dinner we rented the car that we will be using in the trip, ganda ng car nmin, d best... I was very excited, I haven't got any sleep nga that night eh... hehehehe.
So the most awaited day came... Kuya peegee picked me up at around 5 AM. Then we make sundo Kuya tonio, ate arlene and the rest of the guys.. Layo din ng byahe eh.. and the most exciting part was that we have'nt bring food since as per Kuya Peegee, there's a lot of fast food chain inside the Yosemite Valley... un pala, wala, nangangayayat nga c kuya Pg eh hehehehe....Thank God, Ate Arlene brought some ham and rice.. kundi gutom kami lahat hahaha... Then after that, as usual, took some pictures and make kulitan.. Before I forgot nga pla, there was an incident there n muntik n kong masagasan, nkuhanan ng video ni Sir Boyet un, grabe, excited kasing magpapicture eh...Hay, that was a very nice trip... And what makes it special was the fact that we went there as a group.. Thanks to All, Hope it will happen again next time.... Xie Xie(Thank you in Mandarin).....

Experiencing Nature in Grand Canyon, Arizona

I guess, it was more or less 11hours of driving from San Jose, CA to Arizona, to think we only had one driver, can you imagine that!!! It was quite a very long and tiring drive but being with the company of good people makes it truly a fun ride... Arizona is one hour ahead of time compare to San Jose....we arrive there at 1:00AM, got some sleep so that we can have the energy for the activities scheduled for the day after... A day after, we drove again headed to Grand Canyon, honestly I haven't heard or watch anything about that place, but what I know is that people wanted to go there and experience being closer to nature... When we arrive there, Kuya tonio told us that we should find the entrance with Grand Canyon engrave on it so we can take some pix. See that was the picture I have posted on this.. nice right...hahahaha.We spent the rest of the morning taking pictures of the majestic views of the Grand Canyon.. I have just regret the fact that I was'nt able to experience the sunset and sunrise views there... But its ok, being there even just for a day, was a major accomplishment in my part...I should have read more on how those wonderful rocks were formed, so I can explain it here... but for now, what I can guarantee is that I have experience being much closer to nature and appreciating how wonderful God creations are, that includes human of course... and if given a chance to come back even after 20 years, Grand Canyon nature trip will still be in my itinerary.... God Bless Us All!

A Day of Being Child Again in Universal Studio, LA

This is still part of our long drive during thanksgiving holiday last year in the US. After a night of strolling in Las Vegas, we devoted the next day on unleashing the child spirit within us in Universal Studio, Los Angeles. I have got a chance to meet, Spiderman, Fiona and Shrek, Kingkong, Happy Feet and experience to be in the settings of some major US films such as Notting Hill, Jurassic Park, The mummy returns, War of the Worlds, Jaws, etc. I just want to quote what I have heard from Kuya Tonio, "C Shirley, walang pinatwad n cartoon character, lahat me pictures". Hahaha, cyemps, that was one opportunity that may never came back again, so samantalhin n lang...hahaha. ...
When I was there, I feel I was young again(although young p talaga ako ha). Took pictures here, there, everywhere. Sarap ng feeling. I really miss happy feet and spiderman, they were so approachable, I told them I need a hug, they've hugged me immediately...I really love those characters... I just hope that I will be given a chance to see them again... but if not, at least I have those memories I can treasure for the rest of my life....
Just sharing the excitement and happiness to you guys.... Hope you can feel the warmth of their hugs too.....God Bless!

A Glimpse of Las Vegas

It was thanksgiving day in US when Kuya Tonio, Ate Arlene, Tere and Ria stroll in the strip of Las Vegas. At first, I thought it was just a dream, but it's real. I really love watching CSI(Mia, Vegas and New York) and that time I had been given a chance to take a glimpse of what Las Vegas really looks like in personal, not just in tv. We just stroll and got the chance to see Aladin hotel,MGM,Venetian, Baleys, and most of the hotel casino in the strip. Whewww, now I know how casino looks like. Also, we tried to play a slot machine and we won almost $150, by just a $1 bet, can you imagine that!!! Well, we are just really lucky. We have used the money for our dinner buffet in Baley's hotel, gosh, its really a night of blessings and fun... Thanks to kuya tonio and ate arlene for allowing me to join them...I will just to share some of my photos in Las Vegas... and as I am writing and posting these pixs, it reminds me how wonderful and giving our Creator is for allowing me to have even just a glimpse of Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Its been a Year

Last October 7, I have celebrated a certain anniversary of one blessing God given me..... an opportunity to see what United States of America looks like...How fast time flies by, i can still remember the first time I have rode an airplane and crossed the Pacific Ocean... whew, sounds exciting right...Everytime I remenisce those things, a smile will naturally came out from my lips....

It was October 7,2006, when my journey begun... I was given a chance to come to US(San Jose county) to undergo training. Honestly, I haven't felt the excitement that most people feel knowing that they will be going to US. Why? kaw b naman ang laging late umuwi dahil sa dami ng projects n dapat tpusin prior ka umalis... In short, I was stressed the week before my flight...That's the main reason, why I was sleeping the whole flight.. Buti n lang mabait ung seatmate ko, he woke me up in every meals...such a nice person...I can still remember his questions on me, "Is this the first time you have ride an airplane?", I answered, "Yes", then he said, " Are you not scared by the fact that we are crossing Pacific Ocean", I replied, "Nope, because, I never know we are crossing that because I am always sleeping". Natawa tuloy siya.....

The rest was history... i will just post other blogs for my adventures there.. para mas exciting... Hope you can read every blogs that I am going to post in the future.... I want to share the happiness and thankfulness of that wonderful blessing given to me... Until then, CIAO!!!...

meet the newest addition in our family - Baby JM

It was October 8 at around 8:00pm, when my younger sister gave birth to a wonderful baby boy.... which we had name as JM short for Jhay Sylmar.... Where does the name came from? Well, Jhay came from the alias of his father and Sylmar as abbreviated Silvestre and Maria, his grandparents. I was in Taiwan back then and was quite surprise to hear from my brother 'bout the news. but kinda excited about the fact that I am now a certified tita.... hahaha....
It was 2 days after, then I finally got the chance to meet my newest pamangkin. eventhough i am tired since i just got back from taiwan, i went to the hospital to see him... hayy... the baby was so cute... mana sa tita.... hahahha.....
now, he will be turning 1 month old and is growing healthier.... i wish my nephew the best thing this world can offer and will continue pray for his health and safety....
again, friends, meet the newest addition in our family, my beloved nephew JM!!!
